I thought the same thing, actually. I could have sworn it was backwards, but the little blipshift logo told me otherwise.

Most European cars like VW and BMW use this shift pattern. Reverse is to the left and up. 1st - 6th gear are in their normal positions.

I was going to say that is what the shift pattern on my VW looks like but you beat me to it.

I just realized... The Tshirt is a 5spd dogleg box. 1st is where 2nd normally is. The ornament is typical euro 6spd.

Just realized something. I thought you were talking about the ornament pattern but you MAY have been talking about the Tshirt pattern. The Tshirt pattern is in fact a dogleg box. The ornament is what my other reply says. Couldn't edit it :(

What model car? I've never seen or heard of a dogleg vw let alone one that has reverse way off in the distance

I still think it’s messed up. Go look at a ferrari shift plate reverse is right above 1st not noticeably far away. The shirt is like someone took an american 6 speed pattern and deleted first gear. Care to send a picture of a knob with a pattern like this?

Jetta TDI, You have to push down on the shifter to remove the lockout and move it all the way over to the left and up like that to engage reverse. It drives me nuts when I drive my wife’s car that has a normal 5 speed, thankfully the lockout reminds me it doesn’t have a sixth gear.

the difference being that you still have a normal 1st gear which this t shirt doesn’t. my st is same way, reverse lockout for top left
